Whatcom Land Title Co. and individual employees recently donated $6,000 to three nonprofit organizations in Whatcom County that provide housing and human services to those suffering from homelessness.

The recipients are Lighthouse Mission Ministries (designated for its Base Camp shelter), Northwest Youth Services and YWCA Bellingham.

“The COVID-19 pandemic and winter weather have exacerbated the challenges faced by the homeless in our community,” said Colleen Baldwin, owner and CEO of Whatcom Land Title Co. “We’re amazed by the efforts of these nonprofit organizations to help men, women and children in need and were inspired to support them for the betterment of all.”

“Whatcom Land Title is committed to doing all that we can to support efforts moving forward for shelter, nutritious food, safety, job creation, and urgently needed social services, psychological, medical, and/or drug or alcohol addiction treatment for the unsheltered – any and all forms of assistance that may be needed.”
