Whatcom Land Title’s

Community Care Campaign

Supporting new beginnings for those in need of a fresh start

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services (DVSAS) is the only confidential location in Whatcom County for women and children fleeing domestic violence.  In 2016, DVSAS in our local community helped 137 families to safety!   Many of these families come to DVSAS with just the clothes on their back.   These victims come through the doors on what feels like their most confusing and vulnerable day.  It is amazing what a difference having the basics of pajamas, a blanket and toiletry items can make.

Our team voted DVSAS as the organization we would like to support during our Community Care Campaign.

Over the next month and a half we will have the opportunity to help DVSAS acquire these basic supplies for the families they support in 2018.

There are two ways to help:

1. Donation Cards: Starting Monday December 11th, there will be cards hanging in the front windows of our Bellingham office.  These cards will have items on them that will help the people that come to DVSAS.  You can take, 1, 3, 10, or however many you would like, and return the items by January 31, 2018 to the box in our front lobby.

Some examples of items on the cards could be:

-Pajamas (new or like-new/gently used condition), blankets (new or like-new/gently used condition), body wash/lotions, toiletries, rain jackets/boots for kids

2. Monetary Donations:  If you would like to make a monetary donation, there is a jar at the front desk of our Bellingham office. The funds will be used to purchase items in bulk for DVSAS.
