We would like to introduce you to the newest member of our marketing staff, Travis Rhone:




Travis joined the Whatcom Land Title staff at the beginning of May (2012) as a Marketing Representative. He was previously employed by a local Credit Union for over nine years, working primarily in consumer lending and customer service.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Travis has lived in Bellingham for most of his life. His immediate family, as well as most of his extended family are also local. He has two younger sisters, both married and each with one son. Travis is a graduate of Whatcom Community College and attended DeVry University and Western Washington University.

Travis’ primary hobby is automobiles and anything having to do with their maintenance, as well as performance modification. He is a member of a local auto enthusiast club and frequently attends and competes in regional automotive events.

Escrow Services
Escrow is the process of document transfer in which a deed, bond or
funds is delivered to a third person to hold until all conditions in a
contract are fulfilled.

The ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS that are signed by the buyer, seller
and lender(if applicable) enable the escrow agent to carry
out the procedures necessary to transfer real property or
other assignable interest.

Title Insurance
Insurance against the loss resulting from defects of title to a specifically described parcel of real property. It involves the issuance of an insurance policy promising that if the state of the title is other than as represented on the face of the policy, and if the insured suffers losses as a result of the difference, the insurer will reimburse the insured for that loss and related legal expenses, up to the face amount of the policy.
